Front brake hoses
I have to get new front brake lines for my '74 Dart Sport to pass inspectoin (rubber starting to tear ) Went to O'Reillys and they gave me the wrong hoses does anyone know the Mopar parts number for the front brakes (9" disk). We have Autozone and O'Reillys here and a Mopar dealer so any info on part numbers from any of these would be great.
Thanks, Jared |

There was not a 9" disc, this may be the problem. There was a 9" drum, that's the most common on slant six cars. If you have disc, they are around 11". You may have a drum hose for your disc car.

I know it's a drum hose now that I've got under the car to replace it O'reillys showed it as 9" disk so they are 11" (biggers better works for me ) in their comp it showed them as disk brake lines so not sure. Autozone is going to have a pair in on Tue. for me so hopefully they will have the right one 'fingers crossed' again if anyone has the mopar performance parts number for the hose that would be great.

Jared,
have you considered going to a braided steel flex hose as an alternative? They wont expand when they get old and give you a mushy feeling pedal. Try Goodridge lines for your car along with a banjo bolt to attach to the calipers. About $12 per line and maybe another $5 or $6 fpr the banjo bolts. my two cents. Bruce |

where would I get those at do you have a website? I've already replaced the lines but I'm thinking it can't hurt because we had to do some ghetto rigging although it was done right so depending on the total price including the line from the master cylinder I might just do that so if you have a website or something that would be cool.

Jared,
You could go directly to http://www.goodridge.net/ or you can contact cuda66273 as he is a goodridge dealer. Cuda can set you up with everything you need for your brake lines. Look at his profile and you will find links and phone numbers. I can tell you from experience that Don, (Cuda) will take the time to help you out with whatever you need. Good Luck, Bruce |
