5.2/5.9/4.7/5.7 Bellhousing pattern
Here's the definite answer to the question nobody asks.. that is: "Is the small block bellhousing bolt pattern the same as the 4.7/5.7?". The answer is "No", BUT the bellhousing fits anyway! All of the bolts holes line up except the one in the 3 o'clock position. It's about a half inch off. If need be, it can be modified so ALL of the bolts fit. Otherwise, just leave it out. So if you rephrase the question: "Can the small block bellhousing be bolted up to the 4.7/5.7?". The answer is YES!! Now I know all of this because I hit the boneyard today with a 3.9 bellhousing and found a 4.7 laying in the mud. Matched up real nice.
