Default Oil pump questions

Will a high volume or high pressure oil pump help an old motor with 100K run better or would it just burn more oil?

If I were to use one of these pumps would I need a bigger oil pan?

It'll just help it burn more oil and it would need a larger pan. High volume/ high pressure pumps are for racing only.
