Cool

I had a '68 and a '69 Roadrunner. Their names were Baby and Bear respectively. No special tags then, although I can still remember the tag on Baby, "WMC 056", my first car. My tag currently reads "BN WILD".

My '68 Charger is baby. My '69 Coronet is Christine(with good reason).

I used to have a '67 Charger with California issued plates (not personalised) 567MUF (OK, so it was one F short, but you get the idea).

I had a 96 V8 5-speed Dakota Sport with the plate "PIKMUP" - her name was, oh nevermind...the pain of loosing her to a minivan is just too much to take.

The race cars have had the name "Nautilus".My Dad had that on the 1/4's of the Road Runner and the doors of the Dart,so I carried on the tradition. The Road Runner's license plate says "70 Beep" now that it's back on the street.

My '66 Coronet 500, when it was registered in Colorado, was "66 500". Clever, huh? It's name is Baby. My '93 Cummins is the "Diesel Monster". My old '67 Belvedere I wagon was originally an export car, bought as a special-order car by an undertaker in Belgium; a black 225/3-spd radio delete no-option car named "Gomez". Its' Oklahoma tag was "DEADONE". Our '67 Polara wagon is the "Bradymobile".

Since you can't fit "Good luck on your project" on a license plate - and no one would know what "GLOYP" would be, I have the obvious . . . "RAM MAN"

Just read between the red streaks (my truck is RED) if you are every around central Michigan - I'll be flyin' by !

One of my first cars was a '65 Buick Skylark 4-door... His name was "BOB" (Big Ol' Buick).

I had a '69 Road Runner soon after that... My friends called it "The Rotor".

Wound up with a '76 Chevy Impala for a short time. We used to go off-roading with it. The 8 people I could pack into it called it "The Beastmaster".

An ex-girlfriend had a '86 Laser that she called "Linda" for some reason...

If you have ever seen the multi-colored Rallye stripes on the 73 Charger, this may make some sense. "Big Worm" due to the Rallye "worms." I also have a little poseable worm with a white frizzy hairdo facing front from the rearview mirror.
The Avenger's plate bears my callsign.
They don't have to make sense, they are mine.
btw-Great topic!
Also, a friend had a 75 Torino Elite (tank), crayon blue with white vinyl top: Smurfette.

Not very original, but hard to get.
My 70 Charger has "CHARGER" on the state registration plate.
My 77 Warlock Power Wagon has "WARLOCK" on the state registration plate.
Both are inspected and registered for 2000-2001.

Back in my ignorant days, I saw for the first time a plate that said "KK HEMI". It did not take me long to figure out that "KK" was short for King Kong as that Black 70 HEMI CUDA CONVERTIBLE was awesome (and still is).
My cars, however, have not been priviledged with special plates.

I started racing in '78 and had my race cars lettered with "Locomotion" since '79 or '80.
An applicable definition I found was "power of movement" and I liked all 3 songs with the title.
Several years ago I found out that Bob Reed used it on his cars for a while in the early '60's and was recently told that there was a Ford around Ohio with it.

I've never named one of my cars, but I'm pondering getting a plate for my Ramcharger that says "IH8CHVY."
