Question

I am settling into a prefab family very soon. We will be a family of 5 with 2adults and 3 carseats. For those of you with kids, Do 3 carseats fit in the backseat?? If so, how well do they fit??

Never mind, the other half checked yesterday and she says it's a no go. I guess I'm in the minivan market now

Guam
I am in the instant Family position too. Where as we have twins on the way we already see the need for the minivan. With the two carseats it doesn't leave much else for another person.

Screw the mini van ... get a volvo 850 turbo! If you've got to carry a lot of people, might as well get something that will move

Buy a Volvo? Are you in the right forum? Those things aren't cheap either. Myself, if going for new, but trying to save money, Look at a Chrysler Voyager or similar Dodge Caravan, and there is about a million used minivans on the market right now, so with careful searching one should turn up. But quite a few of those have been ran to death, so check any used purchase out carefully. I have a 92 Dodge full size van that is handy for all 3 of my kids and large load, but is awful thirsty with gas consumption in the 12 to 13 mpg range. I plan to buy a Mopar minivan next year, either new or used. No expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, foreign products for me.

Yeah, but they make a kit to swap the new 4.6 liter cobra motor into the volvo

I know, they are expensive and not a Dodge - but it's nice to think about.

Guam,

How about a Dakota Quad Cab?
Order it with the new 4.7 V8, and you can still go fast and be able to haul the kid's around.

Watch out for the tranny's on used Caravan's, and Voyager's. I would opt for an extended warranty.

Later,
Jeff C.

After a lengthy discussion with my other half, We are going to get a muscle car with a bench seat preferably a Superbee She twisted my arm but I finally agreed. Have I mentioned lately that I love her. Not so much for her good looks, but for her intelligence and good common sense

I'll be able to go VERY fast and haul the kids around!!!

I just sent her about 2dozen roses after she had our little boy a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't have any sisters, but if you feel like coming to GUAM I know a really cute stripper who can have a joygasm over the pics in MOPARMUSCLE She really wants another 72 Charger though, if you want to win her over

Don't bother asking me how I got to where I am now, cause I DON'T KNOW!!!
