Where is the best place to get a Hemi block?
I am thinking I will take the plunge and build a Hemi. Just like everyone else I would like to get the most for my money. The block I am interested in the MP cast iron siamesed bore hemi block pn#P5007623 (4.498 rough bore). The best price I have been able to find is $1725.00 on the Earnheart Dodge website. With shipping (AZ to MO) and tax I figure it to be in the $1900-$2000 range. Is there somewhere else I might look for a better deal? Also if I do buy a block what sould I have the machine shop do to it, and does this block come with main caps?

I've bought several MP blocks but not a Hemi. Yes they come with main caps. Most are finish machined except the final honing to the final size of the cylinders.

Check what comes with the block on the URL but I bet all you will get is the bare block. If you are building from scratch get out the wallet, credit cards, and kiss the wife and kids goodby

The last block I got came with all the small hardware (dowels, pins, pipe plugs etc.) and a cam bearing set as well as main caps and bolts.
