What fan blade do you have on it? Clutch fan? How long has it been since the cooling system has been flushed?

Its pretty easy to tell when that happens, your radiator isnt up to par for cooling, or your not moving enough air in at idle. make sure you have a good clutch fan or a a straight fixed fan (witha shrowd and properly spaced), not the cheapo flex fans, that pull no air, and fly apart decapitating nice fellow Mopar guys!

Also going from like a 3 row to a 4 row will not help cool as much as going to a wider/taller same row radiator. Think about it what will cool faster a 5 gallon bucket of water or a 5 gallon 1inch pan of water say 577 inch by 577 inchs? the one with more surface area........By the way for all you number guys, there is 231 CI in a gallon correct?

No problems...

Don't post much, but had to when I know the answer.
I've got a 383 with 26" 3 row radiator, clutch fan and 190 degree
theremostat. Everything stock. It can be 100 degrees outside and the mechanical guage never gets past 195.

6 packin is right - make sure the radiator is big enough as well as clean, good fan and you're ready to go!!

Good Luck.
