Cool

I'm not a big fan of the K&N system. When it first came out, they were pushing it as the end all to Neon CAI systems. They claimed 10hp at the wheels. The funny thing about the system: It uses the stock routing system. Air is taken in from just above the intake manifold, passed over the valve cover, dumped into a "heat shielded" area, taken through a conical K&N that sits directly above the exhaust manifold, passed around a 90 deg bend, fed down another tube that passes beside the head, and then dumped down another 90 bend into the TB. Now with the hood open on an engine dyno, perhaps the 10hp could be met - I doubt it. But under normal conditions, with the hood shut and heatsoak, I doubt the gains would be much better than simply adding a K&N dropin filter. Plus K&N never backed up the claims they made.

Best bet, get and AEM, Iceman or Kirk system. You will get the true benifits of a CAI system as the filter stays low and away from heat. You also don't have as many bends and curves to deal with. AND, they all make DYNO proven power.

Yeah i agree with a cone k@n filter attacthed to the stock air tube on a 95 it doesn't do much. only when the engine compartment is cold is it any effective.
