Default Strip tips

Hey guys, I just got the cam in the car, and it is great so far. and in a few weeks, we are gonna see what this 440 barracuda is made of. I have a few questions so i am ready for the track....

1. What are the best slicks to run on a non- modified wheel well A- body?

2. How to do a burn out without line lock.

3. proper launch without line lock or trans brake.

If you have any tips please let me know. thanks

i run a 28 by 9 inch goodyear slick but only run mid 12's and i don't have big block torque.

drive around the box and back in if you have street radials in the front, don't drive through or water will get into the treads and leak out on the starting line right in front of your back tires! =(

do not leave the car in 1st gear in the burnout box. hit second gear and do not stay in the box for too long. i like big smoky burnouts because they sound awesome and look great but you really only need to get the tires to give off a little smoke. you should then clean the tires off, i just come out of the box full throttle, and this makes for a good show, but you could let off, drive out and than give it a quick stomp. as far as actually getting the tires turning, just hit the brakes and give it some gas. the water makes the tires bust loose fairly easy so full throttle is not really neccessary.

on the line, just hold the brake and stall the converter when you trip the second staging light. just stand on the brake really hard and give it quite a bit of throttle, you'll notice when the revs aren't really climbing anymore, you don't need much more gas than that. give her hell on the last yellow!
