Actually those will fit just fine. Most all drag shocks will be about an inch longer. I can look for something a little closer to the stock lenght if you like. And the rears need to be 2 to 4 inches longer. If you look at Mopars rear drag shocks for B bodys you will find that they are really longer truck shocks that you can buy for less money than the race piece they are trying to sell you.

an old trick my dad showed me that he used to do when racing....put wore out from shocks in to allow the car to raise up like it wants but then drop back down to keep the air flow proper. My Coronet isnt fast enough to worry about doing this trick but someday ill try it.

Your car wont be consistent with that old trick. You need the proper drag shocks which can be run on the street anyways. Plus you trick is also very dangerous since one shock will never match the other as they wear at different rates. It would cause a dangerous drivabiltiy problem and I would NOT recommend you do this. Drag shcoks for track use cost about the same as stock replacements these days so it makes it too easy to get the right equipment.

Order straight from them. They can put any attachment point in the shock you want and can order them with any valving you wont too. They do have adjustable shocks too.

Also Summit Racing has Kini's listed up to '72 which '73 and '74 are the same size too for around a 100. They also have KYB's adjustables for around 65 I think. I'd call them and check a price too.
