Default Alternator bracket on an aluminum water pump

OK.. I'm so stumped here.. does any one have a picture of how this fits on??

or can you atleast describe it.. I got the proper bracket from mama mopar and there seems to be a clearance issue on the pump.

Any ideas???????

Thanx

I did a test fit recently with mine and found a very slight interference on the housing where the front heater hose fitting goes in. Is this the same problem for you? I have a picture that came with my brackets. What's your email address?
There should be a short spacer on the bottom bolt, then the long adjustment bracket goes on the bolt , then the triangular bracket. I had to do some minor grinding on the housing for the triangular bracket to sit flat.

There are 2 brackets and 2 housings/outlet necks, '66-down and '67-up. The original aluminum housing used bracket that did not have the big hole in the middle. In '67, the housing and water outlet neck changed and used the bracket with the big hole in it. The new aluminum housing will take either bracket as it threaded bosses for both brackets. If you don't have 2 bosses, one above the other about an inch apart, near the water outlet, it's an original pre '67 housing and must use the bracket without the big hole.

Cecil

PS, '67 RO/WO cars may have used the early aluminum housing, water neck and alt bracket even though other big block and hemi cars had the new cast iron version.
