Magnum pushrod length
Does anyone know the pushrod length for a magnum engine. I have two set of pushrods one set measures 6.902" and the other 6.780" Which is correct?
The cam I bought has a smaller than stock base circle, and I am having trouble with pushrods being too short. The Mopar performance catalogue has some pushrod that are 0.065" longer than stock ones, but what is a stock length? Anyone had experience with this? I know the easy fix would be adjustable rockers, but this is a "claimer" engine and the adjustable rockers would be way too expensive. |

Thanks Billy, sorry my name is different as I wasn't logged in correctly when I started the thread. Not to start up the lifter preload question, but what should the preload be on the hyd roller. I don't have the number with me now, but hughes recomends a much higher number than hyd flat tappets. I post the hughes number later.

I don't know, but I would "guess" somewhere between .020 & .050
Hopefully, someone with more knowledge on this will chime in........ |

On a hydraulic roller only Hughes recommends 0.85". Anyone know why?
