Default Anyone running a Holley 4010?

I have 2, a 750 vacuum and a 750 DP boat carb (bowl vents J'd over the venturis). The DP has 2 power valves both 6.5's and squared up jets (same all around) according to Holley. There doesnt seem to be alot of room to modify stuff, but I may be looking in the wrong places. I have a bad ping at part throttle on a warm motor on the DP. Im thinking the last person staggered the jets and im getting a lean condition when I open the secondaries. Its late and I dont want to stink up the house before bed time so Ill look at the jets tomorrow after work. Maybe someone will give me a heads up on these carbs. I heard they got a real bad rap becasue the baseplates are spiderwebbed and dont have alot of gasket sealing area. I got Vizards book on Carbs and he says they are actually pretty good due to the annular venturis and the 2 piece design (but that guy could get a Stromberg to work on a Hemi!)
