The PSI of a compression test is only good for telling you if you have a problem. As long as all 8 cylinders are within 10% of each other, you are fine. Actuall PSI numbers will differ depending on compression ratio, cam profile, and any head work that has ever been done to the engine.
A 3 angle valve job is old school. If the heads are apart, you should also go with hardened exhaust seats and 2.14/1.81 valves and then use the proper springs for the cam that you wish to install. Once you've done that kind of work, you are just a little shy of the cost of the EB heads that will perform better. |
