I just bought a NOS Fairbanks 10 inch converter with the P#4 5291, does any one knows what it is for stall speed with a bigblock.
It was a bargin just $7 for it, it was never used just sat on a shelf in the guy's garage.

Thanks.

a typical 10 incher is about 3500 stall BUT it depends on your engine combo.

why would that guy sell it for 7$ ??

Cool

He was cleaning out his garage and I bought a lot of stuff from him such as nice crane rockers, compcams pushrods, 440 intake, hemi converter, fairbank converter and so on.
All for just $180.

And I have a buyer for the hemi converter for $100

Yeh.... I almost forgot, the fairbank is for a 500 hp 440 sixpack

Fairbanks was run by Frank Lupo in the old days, now know as Dynamic. They made/make a good converter (my 0.02 cents), I have had several in the past, all without any problems.

Fairbanks was a general trans shop that did HP work on the side. It was owned by Franks dad. Frank later left and started Dynamic. This is a short version.
