Default 71 340 built in 10-1970what heads? #

Hey.. I have a 1971 duster 340-4... built in Oct - 1970,, what heads might it come with? my motor is the original motor.....
.in my mopar engine modifications book it says ..
1968-1971 340 casting # 2531894. service #2531902... then it says....

1970 340-6 TA cast#3418915. service#3577053........ and

1971 360 cast#3418915. serv#3418432..

ok what is the service #?
I did not write down the cast # before sending in.....
I have the 3418915, dont think they are the ones i sent to engine builder. I seem to think they were the 2531894 that i sent with motor, but if the #3418915 came with my year and car being built in oct 1970, i wont say nothing, I did not look at cast # before i sent them they just did not look like mine... hoping the machine shop did not give mine to someone else and theres to me,,, the springs are for sure not mine, had orange stripe, these look like gray stripes for a 360 2v.... please let me know any info on this head stuff... gunna go apechit soon.. anyway to check cast date? serv# loc? all the little other numbers, they anything?? thanks for all replies

the 915 head are the same as the 894 casting. on the 360 they used smaller valves. if they are 2.02 1.60 valves they aregood to go.

Default '71 340 Heads

I've never owned a 1971 340, but I had a 1970 340 that had one "X" head and one "O" (915) head. I'd guess that by '71 they used the 915 casting. The ports are basically the same, the only real difference is the casting number and the letter between the plugs.

I always stamp my initials into anything I send to a machine shop. I can tell I get back what I dropped off. I also try to stamp them in an obscure location and where it won't get machined off. On SB heads, I use the machined spots next to the lower head bolts.
