Default Rush Filters??

is any one running one of these???

I know Don sells them and on that a bought one .. the big 14x5( I run a 3 inch body lift on the truck so I can fit it )

Do they come pre oiled?? it doesn't seem like it compared to the K&N I bought in the past.

Thanx

Pricewise I noticed that both are close, and rush is not as well know a name as K&N so logic dictates that it is a high quality (maybe better than K&N) airfilter since it costs just as much and isnt even famous yet. I havent tried it personally, I just run my car without one untill Im goin somewhere dusty so my FRAM is parked in the backseat most of the time. From the pic in summit it doesnt look oiled at all. what do you think?

Default The Low Down

I emailed BarryGrant.. they said they use a much lighter oil than K&N but that it is preoiled from the factory..

is there much of a gain from not running a air filter when not needed? for example running at the drag strip

Not looking to fight (mandatory disclaimer) but what is logical about your statement ? Just because you never heard of it but it costs as much or more than a K&N it must be good ? Logical ? Buyer beware ! I run K&N and I love it. I got what I paid for. I hope this helps.

The Rush filter flows just slightly more than an equal size K&N..but most of us run a filter thatÂ’s bigger than we need anyhow so it's really a personal preference.

Price wise the Rush get's the nod, popularity...give it to K&N.

I ran K&N's for years and never had a problem, excellent product. Obviously I support the Rush systems now...again no problems with flow or quality.

Buy either one but BUY ONE...DO NOT RUN YOUR CAR without a filter...unless you won the lottery and can afford a new engine on a regular bases.

After thought....Lot's of you guy's have hood clearance problems and are forced to run a smaller filter than you'd like and possibly smaller than the engine requires, in this case I would urge you to use a Rush solely for the increase in air flow
