lifters and idle speed
i have two questions. One is about my lifters. Do the 360's have hydralic or solid lifters. I need to do a valve adjustment and before i dig in there i want to know what i'm going to find. and for my second question, When i start my car i have to baby the gas for a while before it will sit at idle. One reason for this is that my carb doesnt have a choke. But another thought i had was that my idle speed is set too low. What is the norm for that to be set at.

They should have Hyd from factory, non adjustable too
the cold starts are normal.

As was posted there are no provisions for adjustment on OEM valve gear. You didn't spec year of vehicle so can't get specific on idle speed. Might check for stickers underhood that will give idle specs, like xxx RPM in Drive, or something similar.

Most all factory cars that I have seen, Mopar or Not will fall between 600-750 RPM's idle speed, with everything warmed up, or hot setting.
