Maker of Special Tool to test Hyd Lifter Leakdown?
It seems like sometime in the past I saw a special tool to test hydraulic lifters - a little stand that held the lifter and a weight that pressed down on the internal piston's crown. You timed how long it took for the lifter to bottom out.
Anyone else seen a tool like this and could recall the manufacturer? I know Chrysler buys their speciallized tools from: http://www.spxmiller.com/ but that website has changed since spx bought Miller and no longer has a 'search' function. |

There was a similiar tool for my Diamante. It had different lifters obviously, but the same deal, you chucked up a rocker and a lifter (fit into the rocker) and let pressure push down on the lifter to measure the rate. Mitsubishi made with a tool number. Of course you could make something and buy 1 new lifter and compare the bleed down to your old ones.
