Great ideas, but this is an ongoing need. Want that truck at my beck and call - so would prefer to buy one.

M, how much did you have budgeted topay for a truck? How old did you want to go? I have many truck connections, but I need a few parameters.

Biggrin My parameters

Thanx for all the replies. The 98 is probably out of my budget and I don't want anything to do with the four letter word - snow.
Originally looking to spend around $1000, but will consider reasonable under 5k

Default P/U Truck

MWaller,
I have an all original 1967 Dodge ramp truck. I am the third owner of
the truck. It still has the original owner's manual in the glovebox. It
has a strong running big block 318 with 4-speed trans & Dana 70
4:88 gears. That are all in good condition. The frontend has been
rebuilt. It has no play in the steering at all. The brakes are in good
shape. The frontend, body, original seat, floorboard, & rampbed are
all in good shape. It does not need a restoration, however, it does
need painting to make it a first-class car hauler. The only reason I
am selling it is I sold my 67 Coronet R/T & went to a r.e.dragster.

MisterFiberglass,
This would make you a good hauler for your nostaligia dragster!
I have additional ramps already in place to haul a dragster.
Thanks everyone,
Billy email billyh@charter-lt.com

Hay BH......... BUT I already have a fully enclosed trailer for the car !!

Do you have a basic pic of it? A bud of mine would like to consider it. What rpm does it run at 65mph?

DID you ever see that pic of that TF ramp truck operation AT the Gators a year or so ago? THAT combo got more eyeballs than the John Force operation !!

Whatcha' gonna do with your new combo?

Default P/U for towing

Mister Fiberglass,
65 mph is about 3500 rpm's. The reason I kept the 4:88 gears in it is
my home track is in Phenix City, AL., & I race some at Silver Dollar
Raceway in Reynolds, GA., & going to them I can save a few miles
by traveling the back roads going up & down a lot of hills & the
4:88 is perfect for that. Interstate driving would probably be better
with 3:73 gears. I am going to be running as many of the big $$$
bracket races, like in Atlanta, GA., this weekend, as I can. $200.00
entry fee for all 3 days, $15,000.00 Fri. & Sun., to win, $10,000.00 Sat.
I am not set up to scan pictures, but I will be glad to mail you some
if you will get me your postal mailing address. I prefer to leave my
car in a locked enclosed trailer at the track or motel at night at a
big event. Other than that the truck is perfect. Thanks, Billy
