Default Ecu

Regardless of type how does one go about by passing the ECU without spending $$$ for a upgrade.

What???

Either you run an electronic distributor with and ECU or after market computer or you convert to poor points type ignition.

Not sure where you're headed here, you can't bypass the ECU like you can bypass the neutral safety switch, the magic black box has to be in the circuit or you don't get any killerwinkles to the plugs.
