Default Balancing on a 408

Im looking at buying a stroker kit, but upon looking at many adds of the same product I found one that says balancing is extra. Do these kits need to be custom balanced ? What about the 4" stroke crank ? Is that allready balanced ?

I'm reasonably sure, that most kits for a stroker, will need to be balanced at time of assembly.

There may be some exceptions. I think the complete rotating assemblies from hughs are balanced.

Generally, any kind of a custom job like thay, should be balanced. For that manner any engine that has hadpieces in the rotating assembly change(pistons, ect) should be balanced
