Stall for 175K MP converter behind SB?
Anybody with a 175K MP converter behind a street/strip SB? What are your stall and flash points? Should I run one of these or go with a Dynamic or ?????

I have one behind a big block, but never stalled it out to get a max RPM. Its going to be way different behind a big block anyway. It all depends on what you got spinning it. If I had the money, I would probably go Dynamic, but I didnt so I went with the econo MP. So far, So good.

Hello Dartcustom;
I have the 166K in my 73 DartSport with a 360 Magnum headed 268/272 450/455 cam dual plane 625 Demon trans is 727. Those are reman converters from Mopar/vendor. Mine flashes ~2700/2800 stall with brakes on ~2300 then car starts to move against brakes, My 360 makes 430 p ft of torque at 3800 dont know if it helps. Was dyno'ed at Westech on thier chassis dyno. A good converter is very important to preformance ask any of the stock and super stock guys. They are always looking for a better conveter hi stall and max mph from their combo. Denny P.S. The magnum heads have been ported the cam is now 230/230 @.050 .512 lift M1 single plane( Landy is working on manifold ) and 725 Demon , hope to crack 425 hp was making 370 hp and kill some of the 430 p ft of torque at 3800. Only time will tell. |
