Default Traction

Trying to improve 60ft. times without buying slicks(next year)
235/60/14 tires, pinion snubber, no other susp. mods.
Last weekend ran 13.804@104.4 w/2.35 60ft.
I'm going to try adding some weight in the trunk.
Maybe try clamping front of leafs.
Timing is set @ 15 deg. initial & 33 deg. total.
What if I lowered the initial timing to say 11 or 12, would this
help soften my launch.

The car is 69 Dart, 360, 3.23 gears
2400 stall TCI

Maybe try some Drag radials, and go to a 15" rim /tire for a better contact patch. I have 235/60-14 on the front, and 255/60-15. for reference.

Slowing your advance curve will soften the bottom end, you can try stiffer springs in your dist.

When i first put my 340 in i ran a '72 factory distributor, and it would barely chirp off the line, i put in a MP distributor with a quicker advance and the thing would waste the tires. Find a factory dist. install it and see what i'm talking about.

Take out the front sway bar and swap to 6 cyl torsion bars . They used to catch the super stock guys with concrete spare tires. Make sure the gas tank is full. Put a set of 90/10 front shocks.
The thing will bite like a crocodile.
