Biggrin Performer Intake install instructions?

Alright, so I sprung for an Eddy Performer manifold for my mild 318. I've also had Don set up my distributor curve for me and my carb. I've still got to get a new Orange Box because my orig elec box started to ooze gross tree-sap like stuff. Ick. So now my question is... how to "properly" install the intake. Which gaskets should I use? And sealer anywhere? What kind and how much of it? What kind of pattern is the torqueing sequence? How do I check for leaks, etc? I'm new at any engine mods since I've only done suspension stuff as of yet. Thanks!

I use a little silicone around the water passages on the cyl. head/

Also remove the locating pins on the front and rear sealing surface. use silicone in place of the end seals. Edelbrock says to do it that way. Iv'e done it that way several times without a leak on the end seal area.

Ok, thanks. What's the diff between the black, clear, blue RTV Silicone? Which should I use? And do you smear it on the head or the gasket? And smear it, or a bead of it? Thanks!

Use the cork end gaskets or it will leak. Just rub a light coating of black rtv around the water ports on both ends of the intkae gasket. Also but a small bead on each corner where the intake gasket and the cork gasket meet. This is all you need to do.

Black works best where any oil is around it. Red is for high temp ans clear is good for ?? who knows I dont use it.
