Question Headers?

I used Hookers on my Volare 15 years ago. 340/727/8 3/4. There were a few tight spots, (they were for a Backarudda) but they fit. The car ran well with them. They had the 1 3/4" tubes.

Cool

I am running Heddmans on my 74 360 Duster. They were a bitch to get on but no problems since. If you want the best I would recommend TCI.

aspen headers

They are not the "best" headers on the market, but they sure do fit F, M, & J bodies really good.
Hedman hedders PN 78050 $119.95 from summit racing.
The best way to keep them from leaking is to cut the flanges between the primaries, just not between the center two.
My first set on the 5th Ave leaked bad, but they were used and I didnt cut the flanges. After i caught them on the edge of the driveway while backing up and destroyed the pass side, I got a new set of the same PN, whacked the flanges, put studs in the center bolt holes and used two nuts per stud. used an allen head bolt for the ones on the inside of the outer pipes. used the gaskets that came with the headers too. NO LEAKS!
if your heads have those small holes under the exhaust ports, you must weld them up, or tap them and screw a plug in there. the headers wont cover the emmisions holes.

Oh, also, they will NOT go on with the engine bolted to the k frame must lift engine out about a foot, and disconnect the drag link between the pitman arm and idler arm. drag link passes through drivers side.
