Default Header adjustment

Anyone ever heated up headers and bent them a little to fit better? Lets say the collector runs right into a cross member, could you heat up the tubes and actually bend the collector down? In trying to get a tube out of the way of my turned tire and it needs to be moved about an inch back. Ill probably cut it and bend it and run a small graft to close it back up.

Ive dont it before. You have to be real careful. If you get them too hot they can colapse when you go to bend them. Better to keep them cooler and use more elbow muscle to force them over.
