Default Diesel, 2500, 2wd, x-cab, shortbed...????

Morning ladies and gents..

Longhorn Dodge in Ft.Worth doesn't know...(go figure)
I don't recall if I've seen one. Did Dodge manufacture a 2500, x-cab, short bed, diesel, automatic truck from 1994 to 1997/1998. (not 4x4 x-cab shortbeds, 5 spped manuals etc.).
I need one for a long time customer.......Does anyone know if there is such a critter for sure......I just don't remember seeing that exact combination.

Thanks ....Stan M.

Hey Rob.....
Any Manheim auto auction in the US., to answer your question.
I do business occasionally at any of the 3 located in the Ft. Worth/Dallas metroplex. If you are a registered dealer at one of the Manheim auctions you can access any of their auction's inventory nationwide.
Four or five hundred miles is as far as I would probably buy anything from here, unless it was a real good repeat customer and then you try to please...(if the money's right.) Most times I can find what I need here, unless time is a real big factor.

Stan...

Actually...
There were NO shortbed Cummins trucks manufactured in 1998.The shortbed option was not available until 1999.If the truck you seek can not be found down there I know of one sitting right now for sale.

1999 Quad Cab,Shortbed,Cummins,2wd,White/Driftwood,SLT +,Leather loaded,Heated Seat,Burlwood,AM/FM/CD,New tires,4.10 anti-spin,70,000miles+(I can get exact number).

It was bought by my buddy who races Hemi cars for his son to tow his new SS/AA car. After purchasing it they decided on a big 5ver from Gold rush to house the Cuda,so they bought a new 03 dually H/O.Truck can be had right, but,he wont give it away.

Email me at Superstock6pak@hotmail.com if you want a contact number. They are at Indy now and won't return till Monday nite.hope this helps.........Andy

Thanks Andy..
I'll keep that in mind. However I doubt that my client will be willing to pay the shipping and difference in market value. All vehicles are cheaper in Texas than in our northern states, it seems...usually by 10 to 20 percent. That is the reason many E-Bay customers come all the way down here to buy...trucks especially.

Again thanks for the info........Stan

Big Red Machine,

I'm afraid you are mistaken about there being no short bed Cummins trucks built in '98. I personally owned a '98 short bed xcab Cummins. It was a late build truck with the 24 valve engine. I sold it in Feb of 03 to buy a 1500 hemi. Sure wish I hadn't. the hemi is gutless compared to my '98. Anybody want to buy an '03 1500 QC hemi?

Yep, you could get a SB Cummins X-Cab/Quad Cab in 1998. My friend has a 1998, 12 valve, Quad Cab, Short Bed, 4x4 automatic. His is not an orphan, I have seen several others out there, but they are a bit harder to find, especially a quad cab 12 valve.
