Before you start spending money on P&P iron heads, valves, valve job etc, you will be a lot better off buying a set of al heads that are bolt and go. Eddies or Hughes are just two that come to mind.

I think I got started wrong the heads will be the new Bulldogs the are aluminum and they are coming from Hughes. i just dont know if they are the best to let port them or if someone else would do a better job. After reading other threads about Hughes fdging their numbers it kind of left me wondering. Any thoughts?

If hughes are helping with the design of the head they should be the ones to port them. Can't give them to even the best porter out there if he doesn't know them. Well maybe if you let him cut one to peices.......lol.

Those heads should be great, right out of the box. If you want to squeeze every ounce of power out of them, then let Hughes do the work.

I'm sure you're aware that flowbench numbers are only comparitive to the home bench. Each flow bench will have it's own numbers (or so I've been told). Better to go with percentage gains when comparing different benches. I'd also stick with Hughes since they have a hand (?) in the design.
