360 leaking oil, need help
I have oil leaking from behind the oil filter when running ( A LOT of oil ) it seems to be coming out from behind the spin on cone for the oil filter from out of the block???? Is there a way to get the plate out and is there a seal? Any help appreciated...need help to get this going again....

Been there!
When I did my first engine, I was surprised by the amount of oil that will leak from the metal plate behind the filter.
Go down to your local MoPar dealer and tell them your story. Gaskets are just a short trip away. Tighten that plate down first. You might just get lucky. If not, a few bucks won't kill ya for the gasket. |

gaskets are readily available from your dealer for about $3. You may get lucky and just find a double gasket on your filter though...

Yep, been there too! Seems every time I remove the oil filter the rubber gasket from the filter stays behind...stuck to the plate on the block. You'd think they'd make a gasket that stays attached to the filter.
