taking my head in to get rebuilt and I told them I was going to have .08 shaved is it safe to have .09 shaved without worrying about the valves? I've heard from cliffor that I can even shave .1 but this is the ONLY place that I've read/heard that so not sure let me know what you guys have done!
Thanks,

.095 is the safe limit on a stock engine and will really wake it up. It could go .100, but your pushing it a bit and it aint worth it. Over rev it one time and float a valve and you'ld be pulling the head again. GO .095 and be done with it and you'll be hapy you did.
