Default Header Studs?

Does somebody sell Studs for Mopar Big Block Headers...
I remember buying a set from somebody a few years back....
I need another set....

Anyone...

I know that you can order them from ARP if you spec out the size/threads per inch... which is? I'm not sure...

Anybody?

Thanks in advance for your help...

You can pick up header bolts at your local speed shop and they work just as good as the studs do.

Hey sublime
As you know the studs are 3/8.
One end is national fine thread and the other national course thead.
Now from here is just from memmorie.
I belive The overall length was 2".
The course thread portion was 3/4"
Then a blank/unthreaded portion of 1/4"
The fine treaded portion is 1'' in length.
As I said this is from memmorie.
So If anyone has one in hand perhaps they will refresh memmorie.

ARP has 3/8" studs for that application. Use BB Chev. studs.

Yes, but any 3/8" 1 1/2" stud will do.

Standard stuff. Use "Grade 8" ones, though.....

NAPA sells studs? I wouldn't think that they sold anything other than stock replacement parts...

The studs are just standard hardware items and not car brand specific. Once you know the size you need there are many places to get them. I get mine at a hardware store. Be sure to look for Grade 8 quality.

Yeah, the studs are fine thread on one end and coarse on the other. The coarse end goes into the head. The different thread pitches keep the nuts on the outside from working the stud out from many loosenings and tightenings. Use Grade 8 nuts also. By the way, I like that color on your car!

So you can buy the Fine Thread / Course thread studs at a hardware store... I've only seen one size or the other...never a combo of course on one side and fine on the other...

???

Thanks...I like Sublime....

The hardware store I use have them in the fastener aisle usually in metal pullout bins. Anyway, I know they are around if I can find them that easy here in Wichita!

I had a '70 Charger 500 383 magnum that was Sublime with white vinyl top and white interior. The bodywork and paint was done by a local award-winner and man it was Striking to say the least......!!!!!!!!

At one time, ARP had studs that had coarse threads on both ends. I liked these better, because the nuts threaded on much easier than the fine thread ones. I never had one loosen because the nuts had flanges with a locking surface on them. Now I only can get the ones with the coarse/fine arrangement and I don't like them near as much.
