Default Same Old S%!$, Tranny Linkage Problems

I have a 360ci LA motor with a 727 tf transmission in a 73 Duster. I purchased an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake with a Holley 650 double pumper. I just can't get the TPV linkage to work properly. The Air gap is about an inch higher than the stock manifold. I bought holley's throttle lever extension hol-20-27, and edelbrock's trans rod extension kit ede-8004. I also modified the stock throttle bracket making it an inch higher and extended the transmission lever where it hooks onto the carburetor ball stud. Does anyone else have this same edelbrock/ holley dbl pumper set up? I saw a cable set up at Mancini racing I was thinking of trying. Please help.

When I switched from a 2bbl to a 4bbl on my 318 I went with the cable set-up. It works beautifully. The best combination I found was the Lokar cable with the bracket that AR Engineering makes. I got the whole set-up from http://www.magnumhp.com for about $109. There's a great photo of the set-up at http://www.arengineering.com/photoga..._0882_400.jpg. It's a really clean looking set-up and the AR Engineering bracket is awesome.

Hi Doobiemon;

I have a 73 Dart Sport with a 360/727 and I used the lokar kit works great easy to install even. Lokar also sells a black cable kit if the braided is to flashy. If the cable moves after installation use a old throttle cable sleeve to house the transmission cable in the clamp.
