Default Verter Qusstion?

Whats the differance between a loose verter and a tight verter ?
And what better for racing, I know the aplication has alot to do with things, but would a 650 horse 440 2700 pound cuda do better with a 4000 to 5000 stall tight verter or loose verter?

how do you define loose or tight ? how much torque does that 440 produce? what gear are you running? what is the max rpm that you plan on running ?

guessing at the power so torque is unknown but the gear 4.56 tire is 32/14.5 and i want to keep the trap speed and shifts under 7000.
