Default Supercharger friendly cam?

would this cam be good or bad for a forced induction engine?

http://compcams.com/information/sear...umber=20-701-8

Too much overlap.. duration.. or anything else....? Or juuuuust right!

I'm no expert but what experience I do have and from reading everything I can find on the subject don't you want the exhaust duration a little longer than intake

The point being you force air into the engine through the intake valve and hold the exhaust valve open longer to help scavenge the chamber. (your not pumping the exhaust out...)

There are probly a few people that think differently but that's my understanding of it.

You will find you don't need quite as much lift with forced induction as with normal asperated engines either...

I had to rethink my first choice of cams and "cool my jets" considerably when building the Hemi.

Just my $.02

The people to ask are the techs at BDS... I don't even have any of their blowers and they helped me figure a decent combo. I have decided my next blower will be from them. If for no other reason they have been so helpful.

Just tell them what you have and they will tell you if it will will work or what is somewhat better ( at times) tell you WHY it won't work.
