318 engine problems
Yesterday I noticed when I started the charger up from sitting for a week(sat because I put a sunroof in the car) the motor was chugging really bad and poppong in the muffler and when I took it for a drive, the lifters start to rattle under a load. I did put a new set of points in it last night and set them with a dwell meter. The plugs are alright. It has 3 month old Taylor wires. I also put a new fuel filter on today. Could it be bad gas, or something else?

please tell me that you shoehorned a 318 into an 80's omni/horizon/turismo/charger.
it is disturbing to think you cut a hole in the roof of a late 60's/early 70's charger! |

It does have a new double roller timing chain on it, and I did check the timing, which is slightly under dead center.
