8 3/4 rear gear

I was wondering if a 2.76 gear ratio for a 8 3/4 rear is rare or not? And what it would better be suited for.

2.76 and 2.94 gears are not that rare. They are mostly open rears, however, I have seen a couple of them on sure-grips.

The only thing those gears are good for, is highway driving.

Or you can use them with a Doug Nash/Richmond 5-speed with the low first gear.

THATS what my 68 300 and 74 barracuda have, both are sure grips. Nice hi-way gears, but not good low end.
