Default new style trannie pan

Has anyone ever ran one of these pans.. Any thoughts on the theory.

Derale cooling pan

I'm already running a B&M Super cooler but I wanted a new pan.. since I need to pull the pan to fix the leak I thought I'd put a new pan on at the same time..can a auto tranny be run too cool.. I realize in the winter I'll need to block the B&M but with synthetic fluid I think I'll be ok the rest of the year..

also what are the best junk yard jems for a dual fan setup???

Thanx

I'm not sure but from the looks of it, I think it looks like it would be leak prone. Also it looks hard to keep clean if you plan on going off road (in the mud). Plus I don't know how well that set up might work in snow and ice conditions. I run the deep TCI pan with ridges and have had good luck with it.

Even if it works flawlessly and never leaked or got plugged, is it worth the $? 'Specially since you are already running a cooler.

Maybe just put on a deep pan.

I've heard that a tranny can be too cool. I've never heard of anyone actually having that problem though.

According to my professional mechanic and Mopar nut friend, running the tranny lines through the radiator is a 2-way street.
1) It helps bring the tranny up to operating temp. and 2) It helps to keep the temp in operating range.

Which would explain why you don't bypass the radiator when plummbing you tranny cooler.

well I was thinking of triing it.. just because it would add extra cooling and it was 1/2 the price of a cast alum TCI deep pan..

I've already bypassed the radiator because the rad I bought ..a Griffin.. Doesn't have a tranny cooler built in to it..

I have two of these pans. Not sure if they are the same make. No issues with leaks, and easy to clen the tubes if clogged. There is a swirl steel insert that pulls out. My second pan (both 727's) is not being used. It is in good shape. Let me know if you are interested.
