Torque converter
Thinking of getting the big daddy torque converter from Art Carr for my truck.
Anyone out there running Art Carr"s? Any feedback appreciated. |

I don't know much about them. Can you find one to test drive?
I have a DTT converter and I'm sure there is nothing comparable!!! Lower stall than any I 've been around. Nice fluid coupling and no more clutch slip. We are only 90 or so miles apart and I offer free test drives!! |

I have not heard anything as far as ArtCarr diesel TC's goes. At this point I would stay away from them as there are too many other proven TC choices out there.
Also remember there is much more to upgrading the tranny to handle the power and torque of the Cummins than just the TC. www.dieseltrans.com - This is the DTT that was being referred to. IMO this is the best out there. BD, ATS Diesel, Goerend Bros., and Suncoast are just a few other choices. For cost effectiveness, Goerend Bros wins hands down. |
