oiling concerns with timing chain tensioner
i bought a tensioner from mancini racing, it replaces the thrust plate over the camshaft, it has always been my understanding that the bolt with the hole through the middle is to be placed in the upper left hand corner, (which allows oil to pass through from the galley)
now that i have everything buttoned up, i notice that the instructions mention placing the oil bolt in the lower left corner. 1. have i been placing the bolt in the wrong hole all along, is there an oil passage in the lower left hole i've always overlooked? 2. will this lead to an oiling problem? after a year on the stand due to a spun rod bearing (starved the pan) i need to make sure every aspect is covered |
