Question will a harness of a 72 fit on my 74 duster?

I have a 74 duster and i want to buy a new harness for it but all i need is the light harness.
What i want to know is will a forward light harness from a 71 or 72 fit on my car?

According to the Mitchell manual the front light harness is the same for 72 & 74. Unfortunately, if I remember right the 74 has a seatbelt start interlock system and the under hood components are wrapped in with the light harness. If you sepreate the light wires and rewrap the harness, then the connector and the light circuits will work, same coler code, etc.

Default hey

I have completely rewired my engine due to a short and i removed the entire stock harness from the engine bay.
Now i am in the dilemma of not having any power to the rest of the car and not having hedlights, turn signals, etc. if i buy the harness from year one for a 72 will it restore all of the power to brake lights, headlights, etc?

THE "BOOK" Only difference under hood is point distributer vs electronic. If your brake lights don't work, check for 12v on the pink wire at the brake light switch. not there, check fuse. If there, hold peddle down and check for 12v on white wire. White wire goes to turn signal switch. Brake lights and turn signal wires are brown for right side and dark green for left. Get the brake lights working and we can try somrthing else. One more thing. Make sure that all three fire wall connectors are properly engaged. keep smiling.
