The Edelbrock pro-flo air filter is a good option???

I heard some histories that they catch fire when the carb retrocess...It`s true or not?????

Thanks...

The Pro-Flo 1000 series air filter is for good running engines!

I had one on a boat years ago....that had a 455 olds engine. First backfire and the light foam type filter just blew right out!

All the other air filters work just like standard air filters. I'd use one of the K&N ones myself.

yep back in the beginning I tried them out too, but like the common response...it ended with an embers. Backfiring through the carb was an instant assurance that I was going to be putting in a new filter.

no idea, i kinda made this one, as for making the decals when I had the 'cuda 440 ones made, it was just at a local place that does vinyl decals, they can pretty much make up anything you describe. just open the phone book. the cuda decals ended up being like $10 or so.

Don (cuda66273) might be able to make something like that. I know that he does other lettering.

K&N filter with an Extreme Top would be a good choice. It will survive a carb backfire with no ill effect.
