Help will these tires/wheels fit?

Im thinking about buying these tires/wheels for the '74 dart. The rears are are 14x10 on 245-14-60 tires. the front is 14x7 on 215-14-60 tires. I measured the rear wheel tubs and I could put close to a foot of tire in there. I need your oppinions. thanks!

Depends on the offset of the rear wheel.

I don't think it will work, from what I've seen on 345dart's 69.

The tire will probably fit, but you'll need a narrower wheel, or one that's offset more towards the spring.

OR.....a sawzall!

Just thinking out loud –
Aren't P245's are a bit narrow for a 10" rim?
I'm running P295/50's on 15x10s and the tread width
just about matches the rim width.

This may seem silly, but before buying anythings,
do consider the "look" of the tire/rim combo in your
wheelwell. I've learned this the hard $$ way.

Traction/tread efficiency will also improve as tread width
more closely matches rim width.

Just a couple of thoughts

Another thing you might want to consider is going to a 15" rim (at least in the rear), tire size selection is MUCH better with 15's rather that 14's. That 245 60x14 is one mighty small diameter tire.

I'm running 275 60x15's on my Duster, but the Dusters have huge wheel wells. I've got about an 1" clearance between my tire and leaf spring. I've got super stock springs.

I agree with charger_dan, 10" rims seem a bit wide for 245's, I've got my 275's on 8" rims and they fit just right.

on my duster, i fpund that the factory diplomat 7" steelies fit like a glove, both front and back. im running 275/60/15 on the back with very little scrubbing ( i need stiffer springs), and 225/60/15 mocked up well on the front. i dont know what the equivalent is in a 14, but the tires you mention dont sound too extreme. however, unless the 14X10 is going to pass ouside of the quarter, i see no way it will fit. also expect to see odd wear patterns, as that tire is only listed up to fitting an 8 inch wide wheel.
