Question Pre-mag Roller Blk<>mag Roller Cams

Can I use a late magnum roller cam in my 86 318 roller block,will I have to change the oil pump drive gear? Need more hp/tq want to keep it roller,might use 4"crank later. Ron B.

Hey Ron, I don't think these cams are interchangable because the magnum cams don't have the oiling holes needed to send oil up to the rocker shafts. Magnum engines feed the rockers through the push rods if I am not mistaken. Comp Cams makes cams for your application but I would call them to get advice on which cam to choose. Computer mods may be neccessary.
