1/4 mile times
I bought a 97 neon 4 dr a couple months ago single cam 2.0 with a 5 spd i put it on the track up at norwalk oh and the best it would go is 17.24 well it is a 600 dollar beater with 152,000 miles so i figured that was all it had Then I put new plugs , wires , air filter , and an o2 sensor on it and took it back to the track and it went 16.40 with a .530 reaction time
funniest part was i lost breaking out to another neon 2000 model dialing 18.80 but he had an automatic anyways does the 16.40 sound about right for the car with that many miles? |

A friend of mine took his 99 Neon 4-door SOHC, Auto. down the track at National Trails at the Neo Classics. The only thing done to it was a header and cold-air induction and he was running low 17's-high 16's.

thanks for the replies I thought it was pretty good for 152000 miles and bone stock no mods I would like to put a cam , cold air intake , and a header but all my extra cash is getting eaten up by my dakota project at the moment
If i get around to doing some mods ill through up another post with the new times |
