Default 904 trans

can anyone tell me if there is a way to make a lock-up 904 use a non lock-up converter?

You'd have to replace the lockup parts in the trans with their non-lockup counterparts.
Swap the input shaft, reaction shaft support and valve body.

thanks for the info, at least now i know that i can use most of my rebuilt trans, even if it is the weaker one.
