Default Performance message. Is it speaking to me?

Well here's the new project. 64 Dodge 330 2dr post.

The strange thing is, a message appeared in the window(overnight). Like the car is trying to tell me something.

It wasn't there when I picked up the car, so I'm confused.

What do you guy's think?

It's got some rot. Not a lot though. The parts car (a 64 dodge 440 4dr model) has 90% of the metal I need to fix it.

Enough that I can get it to look decent.

I've had "prissy" show cars before, and this won't be one.

That's my only plan, I guess. Slap the body together, and kick some a$$ with the 440 I'm putting together for it. I've been stock pilling odds and ends for it.

It seems the years have not been kind to that old Dodge. My friend picked up a '62 Dart (B-body, the A-body cars were called Lancers then) I strongly advised him to pass on the car. He ignored me and today it is a beautifull 10. second B/SA car that runs in NHRA events. If you can invision what it will look when it's finished go for it!

Actually, it's not as bad as it appears at a glance.

All the missing frt end pieces are either in the trunk, or on the parts car.

The 330 didn't have much chrome to begin with, and it has all managed to stay good. All present and accounted for.

The interior will be plain. It's already a rubbermat car (no carpet) radio delete, ect. A set of racing buckets and some aluminum, will finish it up inside.

Like any mopar guy I have a bunch of spare driveline parts, and it will go together fairly cheaply...at least I hope so!LOL

Better look at the body in this pic.

It's posing with Steven. He's 3.

I agree with dwc43 - it will be a shame to have to shut it off @ the 1000' mark to coast through the lights above 12 sec all the time - but I guess for the first year one will have to make do.
Then again, maybe it was some early Halloweeners - you know how they like to "soap" windows LOL

Maybe you should just haul it up here and drop it (and all the parts) off at my place..LMAO..

Any way.. congrats on finding the old girl.. and good luck..

maybe we'll see it at the show next year..

Well, you can take Steven, and I'll have Alexandra. As long as I can get her to put down her Barbies, that is.

As for racing me, I'll let you win as long as you keep that little dog from biting me again.

Someone took the poly. It was a 3 on the tree poly car.

It will be an RB, 727 car.

I think the guy who started the resto, planned on putting the poly back in with a push button. There was an A engine 727 in the trunk of the parts car.

An old instructor/racer, once told me"Theres no replacement for displacement....and the only thing that beats cubic inches is rectangle dollars "

It kind of stuck.

I'm using a 67 440 hp block.
