Default 73 Duster wins the drag car class at a car show?!?!

Guys:

I am happy to announce that my 1973 Plymouth Duster won the drag car class at a car show this weekend.

What made this even more special for me was that the car show was the Keith Cox Benefit Car & Bike Show. Keith is a longtime friend of mine who wrecked his show winning $30,000 Harley back on August 9. Due to severe head trauma, they thought he should've died on the operating table on the night of the accident. By some miracle, he survived and is still recovering at a local hospital as we speak. But he has a tough road to hoe, since he appears to have suffered some brain damage and will be in the hospital until at least after Thanksgiving. Due to Keith's overwhelming medical bills and lost income, his friend's and family organized the bike and car show to help show our support. My brother and I will be helped run the car show, helping out a couple of his ex-girlfriend's (!) that organized the show.

The show was an overwhelming success! We had over 130 registered cars and motorcycles, as well as countless others that just "cruised" in. We estimate that there were at least 500 spectators as well. More importantly, we were able to raise a whopping $10,000 for Keith and his family.

I feel that I had quite the privlege to win the "Best Drag Car" class as well. I narrowly defeated an 11 second Pro Street Camaro, that has chromed and polished EVERYTHING!!

A slowmero? was there ever any doubt?

If it don't go, chrome it, if it still don't go, paint it green and if that fails buy a Mopar...

Girl Friend(S!)...he'll be OK, he's got a lot to live for
