line lock question
ok, this is on a non mopar, but i figure since it is a universal part, and you guys are geniusus, i can get away with it.
i have a line lock plumbed into the brake system on my 29 roadster. it has a single resivoir master cylender, with one feed fitting coming out for the brakes. this fitting goes to a T fitting in he line, which then distributes tothe front and back. i plumbed the line lock into the front brake system line, befor the distribution left and right block, and made sure its in the proper flow direction. i also made sure it is well grounded. the problem is, when i engage it, it locks up all four wheels. and then when released, it does not let the pressure go from the system, not even over time. i unplugged it, so i figured once there is no juice going to it, it would let go. it didnt. i had to release the pressure from the wheel cylenders to get it to roll again. i also think that the system is building pressure without holding down the line lock, but havent tested this theory to my satisfaction. my question is this: what do i do about it> is it a bad line lock, could i have messed somethjing up on install, what? thanks for all your help mike |

Sounds like a faulty line-lok. If it is disconeccted (no power source, just dangling wires), it should release the pressure.
I'm not sure why it is locking up the rears, if it is after the front/rear distribution block. |
