Default How much power for a "small" U-joint?

How much power can be ran thru a 7260 (small size) u-joint?

It will be in my truck, which is a 5-spd, and i do have slicks. I wont be beating the piss out of it at the track every week... but it will see it every now and then. Mostly street (no traction). The engine will be a pretty well built 340 with a 3.91 or 4.30 gear.

Can i get away with a small joint? Or should I upgrade to the large one? I need a driveshaft made, so i need to decide which rear to go with. All my 8.75 chunks have the small yoke on it, so it would be convienent to keep it like that, but if they wont be able to handle a 5-spd with slicks, i'll find some large yokes.

Thanks!!

All I can tell you for sure is that my 440 took out the front joint on my Cuda last month at the track. It was the small size like yours. I rebuilt with the bigger size. With slicks, I recommend you do the same......djs PS, cost me the shaft, front spine and safety hoop!

Default Joints

You should go with the big joint.
That way the only worrie you will have is will your 5 speed handle it.
